Can you believe that still in 2020, bloggers are focusing on outdated keywords? With the rise of voice search and better Google algorithms, keywords barely matter anymore. No, there’s something much more important than keywords and keyword density.
And there’s just one, FREE tool you need to use to hit the SEO jackpot.
Answer The Public
Answer The Public is the only keyword tool I use for blogging. And what’s even better is that it’s not really a keyword tool at all.
Answer The Public gives you the questions most often searched for on Google for your topic. And when you answer questions, you give real value to your readers.
This website is my secret weapon. Even better, you get three FREE searches every day, and each search can give you hundreds of blog ideas and questions to answer.
Because of ATP, I never run out of content ideas. There’s always something new I can write about, and my blog posts can always be useful and informative for my readers. When you focus on keywords and keyword density, you’re more concerned about tricking Google’s algorithm than providing a great service to your readers.
But when you focus on answering questions, you’re delivering something truly valuable to people. That makes them come back again and again, making your blog more valuable. People who find your blog posts valuable are more likely to buy your products or sign up for your newsletter, too.
I used to be a lot more concerned about keywords because I just wanted more traffic to my websites. Now, though, I realized that the only way to run a legitimate business online is by doing it right and providing quality content that readers love.
How Does Answer The Public Work
Answer The Public generates content ideas by pulling up the suggested keywords, just like you would when searching on Google. It’s just faster to use this tool instead of doing it yourself, and chances are it will pull up more results than you could.
ATP both visualizes the results you receive, or gives them as lists. You can choose which version you prefer. Personally, I never use the visual results and always just look at the lists. You can also download the results for use later.
How To Use Answer The Public
Chances are, if you’re reading this blog post you don’t really need an Answer The Public guide. It’s an incredibly simple tool to use, no more difficult than typing in a search and looking through the results it pulls up.
Here’s a simple list of steps to use ATP:
Choose a topic, like “blog marketing”
Look at the questions section. Choose the “data” tab to see the results in list form. This is where you’ll find your best blog topic ideas. For instance, there’s a result for “What is affiliate marketing blog”, meaning a lot of people want to know what an affiliate marketing blog is. Can you answer that question in an awesome blog post?
If there are no good questions to choose from, or you want more ideas on what to include in your answer post, check the preposition list next. There are results like “blog ideas for marketing”, “blog trends for marketing”, “marketing blog on Instagram”, etc.
You can also check the comparisons, alphabeticals, and related sections. There will be a lot of repeated results in these sections, but sometimes there is a new result that will go great in your blog post.
The results you receive will help you guide your blog post in a unique direction. Tons of people have written about what an affiliate blog is, but can you put a new spin on it by including information for promoting your affiliate blog on instagram, with some ideas for blog posts? That’ll be a pretty unique blog post!
Is Answer The Public Free?
As I said above, ATP is free for 3 searches a day, but they do have a pro version. For $99 a month, you get unlimited searches, the ability to compare data and see new suggestions, plus more cool features.
Personally, I am still at the level where I use the free version, but as my blog grows I do plan on paying for the pro version of Answer The Public. That’s how valuable I think this tool is.
